Creating successful schools is as much about embracing ideals as it is about providing a place to learn. We feel that architects have a social responsibility to work with educational institutions to create facilities that are wholly conducive to learning. In educational projects, we seek to marry our sustainable design principles with the educators’ knowledge gleaned from years of experience in educational facilities.
DKA has extensive experience in understanding budgets, constraints, and the politics involved in building school facilities. Through our community work we have gained a strong sense of the variety of needs associated with those who seek higher education, workforce housing, and childcare. We have also gained the sensitivity to collaborate with educational organizations seeking to enlist the inspirational power of architecture in their push for educational success.
